Bal Seal Solutions for Aircraft Applications
This animation features the use of Bal Seal Canted-coil spring and PTFE seal combinations, Bal Shield EMI shielding spring elements, and Bal Contact electrically conductive springs in five different aircraft applications The first segment begins by zooming into the aircraft's fuselage to reveal a set of four channels, or "gutters" used to hold cables in place along the interior The gutter sections, which are spaced to afford for expansion and contraction of the fuselage caused by fluctuations in temperature and pressure, are tethered by conductive cables that are held in place with precision-engineered Canted-coil springs As the animation progresses, the viewer is transported to the cabin area, where a passenger uses the touch screen on an in-flight entertainment system Behind the screen, a data cable is shielded against electromagnetic interference EMI by a Bal Shield spring element Other segments of the animation illustrate the performance of Bal Seal PTFE seal and spring combinations in a windscreen wiper motor assembly and a hydraulic pressure overflow tank within the landing gear assemblyUploaded: January 26, 2012 Length: 00:02:44 Plays: 1
